CONNECT YOUR IPOD TOUCH TO INTERNET FROM WIRELESS SIGNAL FROM YOUR CPU/LAPTOP DO THE FOLLOWING ON YOU CPU/LAPTOP (VISTA) this might require that you turn cpu's wireless on 1. go to network sharing centre 2. click set up a connection or network 3. click set up a wireless ad hoc network 4. click next twice 5. enter what u want the network name to be 6. set security type to no authentication (open) 7. do not enter password, tick save this network and click next 8.click enable internet sharing when it comes up 9.click manage network connections 10. write click wireless network connection and go to properties 11. double click TCP/IPv4 12. select use the following ip address 13. use 192.168.0.1 or any other if there's a problem and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 14. select use DNS server and default gateway should be both blank. 15. click ok. DO THE FOLLOWING ON YOUR IPOD TOUCH 1. go to settings and click wi-fi. this should be on. 2. under choose a network select the name of the network u previously created. 3.click > arrow 4. ip address should be DHCP and the below information should be filled out already. it may take a few secs to get filled out. 5. under renew lease HTTP Proxy should be manual. 6. go to http://www.youngzsoft.net/ccproxy/index.html to download ccproxy 7. after download lauch it and click options 8. ensure that local IP Address # is the same as the # in step 13 above. clicking auto detect may grant such number. when # is in leave it on auto detect and click the box beside it too. 9. click ok 10. under HTTP proxy manual enter the server # i.e 192.168.0.1 11. enter port # as 808 or port # in ccproxy software 12. authentication off 13. open safari or app store and u should be connected. more info go to http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39974 which is where i got my instructions from to work.
